They are really humorous and a delight to read. An easy read for people who hate reading. There is always a humorous problem with a great outcome.

Then is the carry on from Once. Its a story based in wartime with the main character Felix and his little friend Zelda go to find a new 'Mum and Dad' since their parents were killed by the Nazis. They meet a women called Genia who cares for them, feeds them and disguises them. Then is a heart warming story about love, loss and family.

Not dressed like that, you don't! By Yvonne Coppard.
Not dressed like that you don't is a book about a teenage girl called Jenny who thinks her life is controlled by her parents and not her, and about her mother who thinks her teenager is crazy and wild and goes out to much with her boyfriend. Jenny doesn't think much of her mum but thinks her friend Cathy's mum is cool and let's her do whatever she wants but does that mean she's caring for her as much as Jenny's parents care for her.

GANGSTA GRANNY by David Williams
Gangsta Granny is a humorous book. It is about Ben's boring old grandmother who he thought liked cabbage, cabbage soup, cabbage chocolate and Scrabble the board game. Ben snuck out when he knew there was something up with his granny, but that was when he found out her dirty secret, as he followed her to her next crime scene. Granny has been stealing gems, jewls, necklaces, earrings, diamonds and rings for many years.

The Avery Sister Trilogy
Rachel Vail has written three novels aimed at 11 - 16 year olds, telling each of the three Avery sisters stories over the same period of time.
In the book Lucky, Phoebe faces middle school trouble
In the book Gorgeous, Allison faces high school love, friends and disappointment.
In the book Brilliant - well Quinn does something but I haven't read it yet so yeah.

The book is set when August is going to school for the first time ever but some people think that just because he doesn't look normal that he is a beast in human form. the book is filled with hardship, understanding and depression. the book takes on the looks of many characters and shifts from time to time. this book is incredible and not a very hard read I highly recommend it.

THE WORST THING ABOUT MY SISTER-JAQUELINE WILSON
I would recommend this book to people that love girly things. Probably not the best book for boys. This book is a bout Marty and Melissa have a big fight about a eye pencil. Melissa is a real girly girl while on the other hand Marty is a tom boy so they are nothing alike.
Can tomboy Marty and Melissa ever get along?

Working on the pyramids leads Nebka to meet a mysterious prisoner claiming to be the heir to the throne but is he really. This book is a historic fiction and a excellent read.

This novel shows that ordinary people can do extraordinary things. Jack spends his school life trying to stay unnoticed and in the shadows but all that changes when he escapes to Wetapunga Bay. Eragon - Christopher Paolini
Do not be put off by the size of this novel or the fact you may have seen the movie. This is a great read. It follows Eragon, a young farm boy, who discovers a dragon egg which leads to the adventure of a life time. To make this book even better it is the first in a series and the other three novels are just as good.

This novel is set in New Zealand after the Great War. Dee finds herself living in a town where everyone seems to know something about her dead father Dan, but no-one is telling her. This is one story that took me by surprise, especially the secret about Dan.

I read this novel to my English class last year after one of the students suggested it. We all enjoyed it and used it to produce some amazing static images on the key themes: friendship, survival, war and love.
Synopsis: This novel is split into two parts. The first part follows Arthur Hobhouse's journey from an orphanage in England to a boat builder in Australia. While the second part follows his daughter Allie's journey back to England to solve the mystery of Kitty and the key.
